Within our factory in Horsham, we have the capacity to offer large format printing, with several printers able to produce digital print. This type of print can be used for digital wallpaper, window displays, vehicle graphics, van wraps, print for PVC banners, paper posters up to 1.5x30m and A0, in addition to print for roll-up banners and exhibition displays.
As requests for large format print grows as does the need for same-day requirement due to tight deadlines and ever-changing event schedules. Our clients would ideally like to take away their print at the end of the day, which is a problem for many large format printers as the print can take at least a day to ‘gas out’ which basically means dry, sometimes even longer if it a full colour print with 100% coverage.
HP latex printer allows for same-day demand
However, our new HP Latex printer has thermal inkjet printheads which allow for the ink to dry as soon as it is printed. The print is also scratch resistance with impressive quality, vibrant colours, and can be placed externally un-laminated. With this high-performance printer, it’s not only the turnaround that is quick, but the speeds are also far quicker and the printer can work remotely allowing our team to run jobs and continually print. These sharp prints are odourless allowing them to be placed indoors, making them ideal for schools, healthcare providers, and care homes.
Working again with Horsham District Council
Our first printer job on the new HPLatex Printer; town entry signs for Horsham markets for Horsham District Council Communications Department. These are printed onto specialist ferrous paper, which is a paper with additional metal added to it so that it has a magnetic quality. This allows for these types of print to be easily attached to the town entry signs without additional fixings. Horsham District Council kindly sent us artwork which we checked and then used directly. These entry signs will appear in six locations leading into Horsham advertising the markets on certain days and promoting local business and tourism.
BEL Signs and ADAPT
We were pleased to use Amari Digital and printing technologies, or ADAPT, to order and install our HP printer. Their hardware team helped deliver and install, moving the printer into its space within our print room. Our production team has been very impressed with the quality of the print and its robustness.
Peter Fraser, Production Manager at BEL Signs commented:
“This new printer will aid us to increase productivity in all areas of our print and signage. It’s perfect for exhibition print which is an industry that is beginning to bounce back from restrictions. We aim to secure more large format digital print contracts, not only from local county councils but large scale projects for display and shows in addition to the usual digital print offering we have where we can now offer same-day delivery.”
