With the main seasonal event fast approaching, we thought we would showcase some of our signage solutions that are ideal for Christmas events, promotions and sales.

Temporary signage, attract and inform

We offer a wide selection of short-term signage ideal for retail, events and fetes. Often made with foamex, kappa card, correx, PVC or PVC-Free material that can be cable tied and hung up. Our large format printers can accommodate poster or banner material, so you can make it big and bold for a backdrop, or advertising, or perhaps make it small and fun with tabletop cards.

Your Christmas message can find a space indoors and be a warm welcome and informative display. Roll-up banners and pop-up displays can be easily stored and moved around.

Signs for outdoors, ensure it can withstand the weather!

If you are putting signage outside ensure it doesn’t blow away or get washed out. Snapframes and swing signs can take a fair amount of winter weather ensuring your message is still clear when the rain clears and people get back outside.

Flags and pavement signs, rearrange and repost

Some of our most popular pavement signs are those that have poster options. This allows you to change your message as often as you like. Pavement signs like the Booster have a branded header area so your message is always branded. If you have some outdoor spaces consider adding a printed flag or printed flying banner, with a stake or base. Catch potential businesses with shaped flags that can be attached to the side of your building.

Looking out and sparking interest

Don’t forget your windows! Horsham District Council runs an annual window display competition for local retailers. Dress to impress by adding printed designs that fill the space, graphics that are cut out, add CAD Cut vinyl messages or simple snowflakes and baubles.

Summer signage, to attract and brand your space

With the daylight growing and the temperatures rising, now is a great time to invest in your signage and ensure potential customers know all about your business. Outdoor signs such as café barriers and pavement signs can not only brand a space, but help to decorate it, add a perimeter, direct, and inform.

If you walk down a high street or through a park, when the sun is out you may look to sit at a café, pub, coffee shop, or patisserie. Position a flag to add movement and height, a pavement sign to showcase your opening times and directions, a noticeboard for menu options, and exterior signage with built-up lettering for added wow and footfall that can quickly be changed into a trade or purchase.

Gym Signage, a moving market

You are never far from a gym; there are at least three near us and 11 within Horsham. If you don’t visit the gym odds are you know someone who goes regularly, and like any business, they require signage and often, more.

DUAL strength and fitness

DUAL strength and fitness are just around the corner from us on Blatchford Road and have been clients since 2015 when they first opened their Horsham site. From external signage to dumbbell stickers they have a strong brand with bright green and black. Recently we have sign-written their FORD transit custom with large understated vinyl in a matt black onto the high gloss of the van paintwork.

But it is not just signage we provide to DUAL, recent products have included:

Your Zone 45

Based within The Holbrook Club, Your Zone 45 is part of a UK-based franchise. Opened in 2019 we provided the main external signage on the main entrance featuring large digitally printed graphics in the corporate style, on the door panels. Over the top of the door and along the whole entrance area is a box-folded tray sign with 5mm acrylic text lettering and overhead bar lights to illuminate.

Inside the premises, we supplied and installed graphics on the walls and glass in addition to built-up lettering to be a feature on one wall. The lettering is 30 cm high and has been laser cut from coloured acrylic sheets and installed with locators so it stands away from the wall.

The Gym at Horsham Golf

There has always been a fitness suite at Horsham Golf, now The Gym at Horsham Golf has new signage complimenting the website and branding of the golf course. A client since 2009, Horsham Golf has had a huge range of signage products and services from us: traffic signs, printed posters and banners, honours boards and directional signage.

The new internal signage for The Gym at Horsham Golf features a large format digital print, laminated onto a large ACM sheet and installed in place. A faded image sits behind the branding and services.

Not just Gyms, Fitness too

The fitness and gym sectors overlap, however without the large premises of a gym, fitness training can be held as a class almost anywhere and often on a very personal one-to-one level.

Sensia rebrand and refresh

Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger created Sensia early in 2019. A global company, we began work on the rebranding within their Tunbridge Wells building late in 2019 as well as their Gatwick offices. Some signage changed in colour, from red to the Sensia-branded violet, other signs were newly manufactured.  In addition, we have added internal wall graphics, directory signage, window graphics and some CAD cut graphics, see our gallery below.

Replacing, refreshing and rebranding

This year we replaced exterior and internal signage, from small vinyl detailing to large letters over a metre tall upon the exterior.

Highlights of the work so far:

  • The Sensia logo in 5mm thick acrylic with the corporate colour violet applied to the face in vinyl and to glass in the reception area
  • Digital print to the internal wall as corporate branding
  • Wrapped large parts of the training room with the corporate colours
  • Updated directory signage featuring new colours and graphics.

Corporate signs, big and bold

Now the entire interior ground floor signs have been refreshed, the outside need to be updated. Over three days our installation team fitted 3D stainless steel lettering that had been sprayed to the Pantone colour. The prominent signage was over 5 metres in length and 700mm tall and 60mm in depth the smaller signage lettering was over 3 metres wide and 450mm high. Each sign also has an accompanying tagline in 5mm acrylic.

Welcome and Training spaces

The training room involved wrapping plinths and presentation spaces, but with the previous red colour being so bright, we used a vinyl with a grey backing that prevented the old colour from showing through (Metamark MD5A-B).

Fresh rebranded monoliths and signage for In Partnership, Horsham

Monolith and canopy signage for rebranded In Partnership

BEL Signs and In Partnership have been working together since 2010, having supplied printed roll-up banners and pop-up signs for a golf day. Since then we have manufactured and installed a wide array of signage. The most prominent of these has been the signage to the front of the Online House on North Street. Installed in 2011 it has just been updated twice, but now with its new branding.

Original and updated

When In Partnership came to us in 2011 the building was plain from the outside. Exterior signage from the pavement not only acts as wayfinding but also provides information and advertising. Two monoliths have been installed on either side of the stairs into the building, allowing customers to find them in whichever direction they are coming from, the town centre or the train station. These monoliths have blue sides with digital prints on one side.  Above the door, an aluminium panel cut to the shape of the logo, at the time, featuring a swirl and the working ‘partnership ’in a transparent rectangle has been replaced with a larger sheet of clear acrylic with digital print to one side.

Rebranded signage continues inside with reception and stairwell signage and outside with car park and an engraved plaque with infilled corporate colours.

Monolith signage for your business or premises

Monoliths are great for businesses looking to make an impact with their signage. Freestanding, they act as a brand marker and can emphasise the entrance space from the pavement and roadside, allowing for a clear destination. They can be single or double-sided and range in height, size and colour. Digital print allows for any message and branding on either side. Add a printed listed directory and arrows to ensure people can easily find their way, especially if there is more than one business on the premises. Installed as a monolith, looking like a slab coming up from the ground, or a more totem style with feet, the styles are endless.

Henfield Storage works with BEL Signs on new large scale signage

BEL Signs have been working with Henfield Storage for years now. Previously Henfield Hire & Storage, we saw them refocus the business rebranding as Henfield Storage.

In the past, we have updated the Horsham premises, which included exterior signage and van signwriting on various sizes of vehicles.

Henfield Storage now has a newly built unit situated within Brighton Trade Park and fitted-out for them boasting around 80,000 sq ft of space for over 1200 customers. It has industry-leading storage equipment units, with a range of sizes from 10 sq ft lockers up to large 300 sq ft rooms.

The project

The new unit required signage to be seen from both sides, with new signage to be placed on a corner with traffic coming into the trade park. It also had to be bright red and white, within brand guidelines.

The two signs would be over 5metres both in height and width, not quite square. With built-up lettering and backlit and to be installed to the building at heights above 13 metres.

BEL Signs would be in charge of creating artwork, fabrication and project managing the sign, we would also advise on installation.

The solution

Two signs of over five metres, made of 60mm deep aluminium folded trays, powder-coated in a red gloss colour. A powder-coated sign is hard-wearing, ideal for the outdoor weather and sea breeze. The lettering would be manufactured from descaled stainless steel in a gloss white, also 60mm deep, with the ‘h’ in ‘henfield” standing at 750mm in height. All the lettering would also feature cool white mini LEDs for halo illumination and fitted to the tray. Each sign would be made up of six sections with an internal ladder frame.

The reveal

Installed over a period of months, mainly due to the adverse weather, the sign is now complete and on display. With this project complete we hope to bring the same finish and project management to the other sites for Henfield Storage.

If you are local in Horsham you might have seen some of the work we have been supplying to Horsham District Council (HDC). This includes the new Reuse Hub graphics for the Environment, Recycling, Waste, and Cleansing department in addition to uniform for Park and Countryside Services.

Digital graphics for The Reuse Hub

The reuse project, recently launched, is a trial being run by West Sussex County Council and HDC to help residents drop off pre-loved items that can have a new life. It is housed inside a shipping container with slight curves over the surface and a door opening at one end. HDC supplied us with artwork designs which are in the form of a large logo, with graffiti type and items cut round all the edges. We digitally printed and cut out the artwork at our factory in Blatchford Road, Horsham. The logos were printed onto MD5A, a high-performance vinyl from Metamark, which has a special adhesive system that allows large-scale printed graphics to be fitted more easily onto slightly curved surfaces. The print was also laminated and then installed onsite onto the container by our specialist team. The Reuse Hub, based at the Hop Oast site, is open Wednesday to Saturday, details can be found here. Now launched we can show the project being fitted and are proud to be part of this local innovative venture.

Embroidery for Horsham District Council

Clothing for wardens, workers and volunteers

Embroidery and heat applied details have been added to a range of clothing for staff and volunteers at Horsham District Council (HDC), including green Russell fleeces, Fruit of the Loom polo shirts, and Titanium grey Russell waterproofs jackets. All clothing includes the HDC logo and text placed on to chest sides, with the jackets, details have also been added to the reverse. Popular with workwear and uniforms, embroidery has durability, with high quality, and can be a great way to promote your business, look professional, and give customers confidence knowing staff. Logos can be created into thread and stitched onto clothing from our factory in Horsham. Waterproof jackets cannot have embroidery in order to keep their proofing, so heat-applied text and logos are an ideal way to brand workwear. Heat-applied transfers are a specialist type of vinyl that can be printed or cut and applied to garments via a heat press. These types of transfers can also cover a larger area and are great for events and short-run items.
